Writing the Void with Kirsten Imani Kasai
Fear can hold us back or it can drive us forward. When examined, our fears can even fuel great writing. Writing that embraces the unacknowledged fears that often lurk within our daily lives and creative practices, has personal stakes and collective resonance. These are the elements that speak to the human experience and reach readers at their bedrock, helping them face their own unspoken fears.
With award-winning author and Emerson College PopFic professor Kirsten Imani Kasai, we’ll learn how to confront and incorporate our shadow selves into our creative work so that we may write, and live, more fully.

Enter the Void
At first it's like any other day. You wake up, shower, start to brew your morning cup of coffee, and that's when you notice—outside the window, there's nothing there. Just an endless black void. What happened? Where are you? How do you get back to reality?
