● An author media kit
What's in an author media kit?
As an author, it's a great idea to create a media kit that you host on your website. Media kits make it easier for journalists and other media professionals to easily get the information they need about you and your work, whether they're already working on a story or simply information-gathering.
Here are some aspects of a media kit that you should consider including:
Absolute necessities:
Third-person bio
High-resolution author photo, with credit to the photographer (if your images are available for use for promotional purposes, clearly state this in your media kit so that media are allowed to run it)
High-resolution book cover for each of your books
Optional, but helpful:
Social media links
Bios of varying lengths (a short bio, a more extensive bio)
